Joshua has a new friend!

Today was Joshua's first concert experience. Mark, Joshua and I met up with our friend Sarah to go to Bluesfest for the afternoon. We were going for the whole concert experience but mainly, we were going to see Joel Plaskett play his acoustic set. Mark had decided to make Joshua a rock star Joel Plasket onezie to hopefully grab one of our fave artist's attention after the show (something proven to be possible by our nephew Dieter at a JP show years ago!).

Joshua was a natural music festival baby and managed to catch some zzzs in the snuggly during the first 3 or so songs in Joel's set while I rocked and bounced along to the music in the back row of the 230 person theater. We managed to get a request out for the song "fashionable people" (a Joshua favorite as well as the focal point of his onezie) and then even managed to get the onzie autographed by Joel himself after the show. Joel seemed pretty impressed with our LBM and his styling outfit. Sarah's friend took some pictures so I will make sure to get one of those up on the blog asap!

In the meantime, here is a cute picture taken yesterday while Joshua was playing in his excersaucer. It is really neat to see him discover each and every toy one by one and make new friends with all the animals.
