This picture was actually taken quite a few days ago but is fairly apropos to the LBM recently. He's become a wild man for crawling and getting into things putting us into somewhat of a unprepared baby proofing kick. As of today he's definitely found a new volume level for making noise. Most of the time it goofy babbling and laughing but occasionally this kid can let out a wild shriek, seemingly just for the attention of it. We're doing our best to not feed that dragon. ;)
At any rate, this is one of my favourite expressions so far. He's now gotten into the "scrunchy" smiles alot more and loves to mimic when you do it to him. You have to click on the thumbnail for the full sized version to truly appreciate the crazed look in his eyes and the added detail of the uneven bottom teeth prominently displayed
Personally I think this photo makes him look like an arch-villain from some Tim Burton-esque Batman movie. Awesome!
Joshua has also, with Momma's tutelage, learned his first sign! The always popular "MORE"!
Of course, the funnest part of that one being learned is it's easiest to practice with zerberts, flips upside down and other fun giggle inducing things that we're happy to oblige with "more".
It is very neat to have the first very clear and concise *language* being used by our son. Shows there's a pretty smart brain inside that giant melon ;)
As for the snow, we've done our best to avoid it altogether, unfortunately that involved missing cousin Benjamin's baptism and after party on Sunday but when Josee tried to drive just to the other side of Aylmer and saw a Giant Tiger 18 wheeler stuck in the middle of the road, she quickly turned around the vehicle and came home, smart Momma that she is.
Today was a relatively wild and vocal day for Joshua who's just now gone down to bed for the night so it's time for Dad and Momma to get some snuggles with Shadow and each other.
Keep warm everybody and take your time getting around this holiday!
We came to the stark realization that although we try and leave early for places and have confidence in our snow tires not everyone else on the road can say the same so please be safe as you can be all!
