J-man got to attend his first *official* birthday party outside of his family ones on Sunday.
It was a bit of a drive out to Smith Falls but it was a lot of fun to seem him interacting with Emma's friends, most of which were older and some by a fair margin. Of course Emma's playroom equates to what you'd typically find in a daycare center so Joshua had no troubles keeping himself busy as well as keeping busy and engaging with the birthday girls' buddies.
And just when he thought it couldn't be any more fun out came the Barney cake and we got to eat him some purple dinosaur knee. Barney's gotten quite seasoned over the years so Joshua found it very smooth going down.
We wound up being one of the later attendees and consequently stuck around a while later after the rest of the party crowd went home allowing Joshua and Emma to have some balloon bouncing fun. Essentially every helium balloon in the place came down and resulted in Joshua and Emma having upwards of 6 balloons each to bounce like crazy...almost with a paddle ball effect. Suffice as to say both were pretty wiped out by the end of the evening.
Looking forward to the next big Emma BD bash. She certainly knows how to celebrate in style!

Josee here to add her 2 sense... first... Mark's not late at all... he is actually early by a couple days! (Emma's "true" birthday is December 11th) second - he is forgetting another KEY ingredient in the Emma birthday bash experience... cheesies... and LOTS of them... Joshua was shovelling them in like there was no tomorrow! Thanks for all the fun Hare family!
