Celebrating the last 3 years

Madie was good enough to help make Joshua's cake this year... and by make, I mean let ME make it ;-) As you can see, she was very proud of her contribution! We had a wonderful time at A Gym Tale celebrating with some of Joshua's most favorite people. A huge shout out to those who came out without kids - Grandma and Poppa, Grandad and Grandma Gale, and Nan and Gramps - and for surviving the sometimes seemingly deafening shouts from some of the kids from other parties going on at the same time as ours! Mamie, you were missed - and again, we hope your nasty virus gets better SOON so we can have a good visit with you and give you both your toddler and baby fixes (plus those daughter and son-in-law ones too ;-))! Joshua's friends Finley, Emma, Kennedy, Grady and Cole, plus cousins Tiana and Mitchell were wonderful playmates and Joshua had the time of his life! Despite one parachute collision with Emma, I don't think Joshua stopped once and was flying high from playing with all his buddies at one time. Cousins Sam and Ben had to bow out at the last minute due to illness so thanks a bunch to Grady and Cole for being able to step in in their place!

As usual, Madie was a doll during the whole thing - somehow even managing to sleep through the chaos for the first 45 minutes! She had some great one on one time with most everyone there who was looking for some baby time and I thank every one of you who spent time with her as it made it so I had had time to spend with the boy.

Below, is a pic for April - who gave Joshua this really cool make your own Car set as a "big brother" gift after Madie's birth. She gave him a similar kit of a plane for his birthday and he painted it last night... he had a great time and was concentrating sooooo hard to paint it his very own way. If anyone is looking for a cool craft gift for a little boy, I highly recommend one of these.
Another big thank you to Grandma and Poppa for coming over yesterday night to help me out with the kids while Mark hob-knobbed with his colleagues at the Brookstreet.

Enjoy the weather!
J
