HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST LITTLE BOY AROUND!

Had an amazing day celebrating Joshua's birthday and spending time with family. Started out the day with Joshua opening his gifts (many of the 4 wheeled nature along with environments the aforementioned to make practical use of those 4 wheels. Hopefully some pics/videos of this to come) The day only got better when Joshua got kinda double caked with a special treat Cinnamon Bun with candles for breakfast as well as an ice cream cake @ Grandma & Poppa's in the evening to share with all his cousins (who wound up with too much candy after the Easter egg hunt..now there's an ice cream cake in our freezer. Kids these day! But I digress...)

We then had an impromptu visit to the park behind or house and ran into 3 different families with kids in and around Joshua;s age. it was encouraging to see some families with younger kids coming out of the woodwork a bit in our neighborhood and hopefully it means Joshua having some good playmates at our neighborhood park. He had a blast running around with them today. Madeleine snuggled in to a Mayan sling with Momma and slept the whole time while Josee had a great time getting to chat with some other Mom's. Should bode well for the rest of her leave over the course of the year.

With promise of fun times at Grandma & Poppa's in the afternoon Joshua promptly went to sleep pretty much immediately at 1pm within minutes of my leaving his room so we could maximize our visit. What a blast! Joshua is now right in the game playing with his older cousins (especially ZORC - Zak, Owen, Ryan & Curtis of the May/Lypchuk clan) I think the kind of pack mentality of 2 sets of twins 9 months apart was a little much for him to take at first but now that the boys are older (6 years old) he just loves keeping up with them. The Easter egg hunt was a big hit but with ZORC on the move about 75 eggs were collected in 8 minutes flat. Joshua managed to find a good half dozen with his "let them be hares, I'll tortoise up some eggs for myself" approach.

Madie got to meet a bunch more of the May clan as well as Uncle Bruce & Aunt Ethel on my Dad's side and seemed to quite enjoy being passed around and chatted with, cuddled and sung to. In particular with her seemingly sister/cousin snuggle soulmate Tiana who seems so pleased when getting to hold her. We got lots of good Easter pics so others will find there way on here to be sure.

Still plenty of fun times to come this weekend with our family and incredible 3 YEAR OLD little big man. Seems like only yesterday that he was being passed around at these family events.

We couldn't be more proud at what a joyful & fun loving little man he has become.

Wouldn't trade a second of it!
