swingin' baby

We have discovered Madie really likes to swing. This huge smile is plastered on her face from the moment she gets placed in the seat until we take her out.

I survived my first of two weeks with both kids and am about to tackle the second week. the week was not short of trials with a very cranky Madie on Monday and Tuesday which resulted in a trip to the clinic and a prescription for antibiotics for an ear infection plus for the majority of the week we were waiting for our roof to be redone (it was booked for Wednesday and finally started on Friday - postponed over and over due to rainy afternoons!).

Huge thanks for all the help Penny and Frank gave to us - first taking the kids for a few hours so Mark and I could go watch a movie on Monday, then giving us a safe haven on Friday from the roof work... and surprising me with the offer of watching the kids so I could get a pedicure. In between those two visits in the 'Tick, me and the kids enjoyed a trip to the library, a trip to Chapter's for some MORE new books, and a day with Sarah at the Experimental Farms and the park behind her house.

With one week down and one to go, I SO admire all you mother's who keep your first children home with you on your maternity leaves... dealing with a 3.5 year old alongside an almost 6 month old is TOUGH work!

This weekend, as usual, has sped by way too quickly. We met up with our friends the Cotton's on Saturday morning for breakfast and a visit at a local park, spent the morning on Sunday at the Aylmer Auto Show (a Joshua heaven!) and then met up with our friends the Jenkins' family for a dinner out. It is amazing to think that on Friday night, we had no plans for the weekend!

Hope everyone enjoys their week,
J
