In light of my tardiness for updating the blog, this one has many, MANY pictures. The first two, include my dear son - who seems to have been neglected in his representation on the blog as of late.
Joshua went sledding for the VERY FIRST TIME on Saturday. Needless to say, he LOVED it. We went on Sunday too. Madie got in on the action as well, going down once each day. Saturday, we met up with my mom at Dovercourt for some outdoor fun before heading inside for Joshua's swimming lessons. He only had to go down once with Mark, then he wanted to go down all by himself - over and over again. After many requests to go sledding again after nap, we promised him a trip to a bigger hill the next morning after a wonderful visit with cousin Dana and her friend Andy (who, by the way, was the HIT of the party with my two kids!) at "Grandad and Grandma Gale"'s house Sunday morning. They live around the corner from Bruce Pit - where there is a bigger toboggan hill beside the dog park. This time, he only needed to go down half the hill with his father, then was cut loose for the rest of the ride. As you can see by the picture below, he had no concerns for his safety! In fact, when he managed to turn himself around and slide backwards on one of the runs, he got off, asking to "do it again" IMMEDIATELY.
This upcoming weekend, we hope to introduce him to the runs at Jacques Cartier Park for Winterlude. I only hope the weather these past few days has not ruined the runs!
Sunday evening, we met up with Grandma, Poppa and the Bisson Clan for an early celebration of the Feb 14 birthdays. Madeleine shares her birthday with her lovely aunt Vicki so we went to Vicki's favorite restaurant for dinner. There was Dairy Queen ice cream cake for dessert.... Madie devoured it...
only she did so a BIT too quickly...
and like the great parents we are, we made sure to catch a few pictures of it for prosperity before scooping her up to comfort her first cold headache - poor girl!
And yesterday, my little girl turned one... There were cupcake bites for daycare...
and spice cake for dessert that night.
I am still in denial that my baby is one. AND she has been walking for about a week now!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's day! And Happy birthday aunt Vicki!

Love the photos...especially her BD outfit, but felt so bad for Madie when she experienced an "ice cream headache!
