Multi picture day!So we're set to roll out of Daytona early Monday morning to make it only a 2 hotel stop on the way home and I'm happy to report the trip was deemed a resounding success! Joshua has been incredible, most notably sleeping in the pack & play which is an incredible adjustment from his high up crib. The biggest highlight of the trip for sure has to be Joshua's apparent celebrity status in Daytona beach. Never before has this LBM gotten SOOO much attention from total strangers who he coos, giggles and charms to no end. It really warms your heart to see him so incredibly happy and friendly and giggly with anyone who will give it back to him. Here's hoping it lasts through the later months as well but for now I don't think a person in Daytona was able to resists his charms! (Not even the waiter who he turned on ;)
We managed to get back down to the beach the other day with a much more successful result for Joshua as seen in these pictures.Joshua first experience with the beach was day 2 when we decided we'd let him try it before the main pool (when we still thought we were allowed).
Feet in the sand...all good..even some grins.
Tide washes over feet..hmm..suprising but I'm still cool.
The tide was light so we decided to try sitting him as it washed out..also cool..kinda like the bathtub.
Then the tide came in kinda heavy and was likely the equivalent of getting stampeded by about 3 dozen crazy puppies with *very* salty slobbery tongues. He wasn't too impressed!
However our revisit went much better as we decided to play a game with big lifts as the tide rolled in and dropped him down as it washed out. Lots of fun!
We even got some wildlife shots as the birds aren't too shy about boldly marching about *their beach* (of course the 12 x zoom of the camera helps. It's a Canon Powershot S3is btw the way Derek. Not an SLR but suits out needs fine and the image stabilization and 12 x optical are just what we need. Been replaced by the S5 since though so finding the S3 is tricky. -here ends the geeking-
After all that fun in the sun it was back to the bathtub for some laps and to wash some sand out of unsightly crevices. Anyone who questions whether this is a waterbaby need only check out this pic for the proof!
Looking forward to getting home soon to see everyone and reunite with the other, furrier, boy who has had a wonderful time being a house guest with my Mom & Dad as well as getting walks from Josee's Mom and agility practices with Holly. He's in some good company!See ya soon everybody!
Mark, Josee & Joshua

Joshua's worried about the bird above him pooping in his little head!
