Home sweet home!

Through cries of "We have to update the blog! We're losing our audience" from Josee..here we are back again and into full blogging swing in hopes of retaining our audience! Hey! You there..in the back sneaking out! Back to you computer...now read! ;)
So we got back late Wednesday around 7:30pm in Manotick and crashed at my Mom & Dad's for the night (much to their surprise). It was a heavy day of driving but we were determined to get home and not have a 3rd night of hotels (cost and sleep quality) The trip, overall, was a good one and Joshua got sooooo much socializing! One of our first tasks when we got home...the Aylmer pool of course! So in the celebration of still recovering from a lengthily trip here's a simplistic flurry of pool shots from yesterday.
Joshua, were convinced now, is in full teething mode! He's really quite tolerant for it but feels the need to moan with pursed lips and a locked tight mouth on a fairly consistent basis when it's bothering him. Seems like we got lucky but the moaning is quite loud and anywhere between 2 minutes to 20 minutes or until you distract him from it or find a new teething accessory. We figure the vibrations by the loud moaning is possibly providing relief. He also has decided to use the same moan when he's not happy about the situation to the point of just wanting to stop sitting (though it's less intense. Makes things interesting to interpret the moan.
As for the being home front and in his own crib we'll put it this way:
First night: in bed at 7pm and 3 wakeups at 8:30pm, 1am, 5am the first two we was pretty upset waking up.
Second night: in bed at 6:30pm and 1 wakeup at 1am and a brief one at 5am but put himself back to sleep.
Third night: in bed at 6:45pm and 1 wakeup at 4AM!!!!! Wakeup was happy a clam (though he was spun 90 degrees) and took a small amount of bottle and was laid back in the crib and was back asleep after talking to himself for about 15 minutes. We think that he's figured out that firstly he'd rather sleep than eat overnight and secondly he REALLY loves being back in his crib/room! Here's hoping the trend continues!

Obviously a big family day today so everyone enjoy each other's company and we'll try and keep things steady on the blog! We are *very* much looking forward to Joshua seeing all his family(s) again!
Happy Thanksgiving all!
Mark, Josee and Joshua (& Shadow)
