Joshua, Mark and I went to Brewer's Park for a picnic and play date with friends Heather, Derek and Finley this morning. It was a beautiful day and everyone seemed to enjoy the time playing outside. We had never been to this particular park and were pretty blown away at the size and variety of play areas involved in it. There was at least 3 or 4 separate play structures, plus a water fountain park in addition to the regular sports fields you would find at a park. The kids started at the smaller structure where Fin showed us how much she loves the slide. Most of our time was spent at the water fountains where Finley and Joshua cooled off under the sprinklers and puddles. After an nice picnic lunch and a little more playing, it was nap time for the little ones and we headed home. Joshua was fast asleep before we left the parking lot and slept for a total of 3 hours... the wonders of the outdoors come through again! (he had a tougher time with sleep last night - those darned bottom molars are on their way! - so we let him sleep as much as he needed) The rest of the afternoon was a quiet one and Joshua still managed to get tucked into bed by 7:30pm.Fin is also a little kissing bandit and we managed to get a cute shot of her giving Sir Joshua a nice good-bye kiss at the end of the "date" (awwww)
Tomorrow, Shadow and I are competing in Kanata and "Grandma" is meeting us to help with Joshua wrangling while Mark goes golfing with his dad and Jean. It should be another nice day and I am sure everyone will have a great time!I hope you have a great Sunday!
