My little helper

Every weekend, Mark, Joshua and I make a point to have a home made eggs, bacon and home fries style breakfast on one of the days. During the past few weeks, Joshua has been given the job of cracking the eggs (they are organic free-run eggs which tend to have a harder shell) and helping with the stirring. I can't wait until we can get ourselves a higher stepping stool so that we don't need to perch him on the counter like this, but for now, he seems to enjoy it! On Victoria Day, Joshua and I invited the Bisson clan and Grandma and Poppa to meet us for a visit to Brewer Park. Grandma and Poppa were already taking care of Joshua in the afternoon while Mark and I had the house inspection at the new house so this was my sneaky plan to tire out the Jman before nap time so that he slept his full nap while we were out. As usual, everyone had a blast and Joshua ESPECIALLY enjoyed hanging out with his cousins on all the play structures!
Hope everyone is enjoying their week - let's hope the sun comes out sometime soon!

Love the photos, especially the one of Joshua helping in the kitchen. It could be paired, in a double frame, with one taken of his dad (Mark), at 4 or so years old, garbed in chef's hat and apron and focused on sifting flour for the weekend pancake feast!
We joyfully welcome all opportunities to share time with our family. That was a terrific park playtime. Thank you!
