As most of you know, we put our house up on the market at the end of April. After a hell-ish 2 weeks of almost daily showings (often 2-3 showings in a single day), we received an offer on Tuesday night which we negotiated that same night in "across the hall" negotiations, they had a inspector in on Thursday and had their financing set up by Friday. After we received the conditional sale, we put the rush on finding a house for us to purchase as our closing date is July 1st. We had been looking and had seen about a dozen (or so) houses and two of those kinda stood out for us. We put an offer on one of them on Thursday, and accepted their counter offer on Friday night. Thank you to the many people who have helped us out SO MUCH along the way of this crazy journey... standing out for us are Jenna and Steve (who saved our pup from the showings while we were at work AND took the Jman for a few hours while we check out houses one afternoon), Mamie (who graciously came out with hardly any notice on Tuesday night to stay with Joshua while we went to negotiate the sale), my brother and his family (who have provided us with the use of their crawl space to de-clutter through the showings), Grandma and Poppa (who showed up on Thursday with BBQ and nail-gun in hand), and my dad (who came to see the two front runners on Thursday after work to give us his professional opinion). We REALLY could not have done it without you. It has been a whirlwind of a week and we are so very happy for it to be over. The house inspection on the new house is on Monday and we meet with the bank on Thursday. Only a few small hurdles left... THEN I get to be excited instead of stressed. ;-)
Through all of it, Joshua has been a real trooper. Yes, he has certainly been feeding off our higher stress levels and has in turn been a bit more touchy and a bit less patient, but over all, he has taken all the extra "hoopla" like a champ and I am so very proud of him. I keep on apologizing to him and telling him it will be all worth it in the end... AND he will finally have the stairs he has always dreamed of :) (or is that Shadow?) ;-)Every day, I am reminded of how much of a gift this little man is to us.
Take care,
J

You're welcome!
Beautiful summation of a very exciting roller coaster couple of weeks. You are very definately on the "home stretch"!
(Sorry, just too tempting to resist... before someone else thought to do it!)
love you.
