This time around, Mark and I have been much quicker to try things with our little girl. At 9 days old, Madie had her first tummy time yesterday with the help of her breastfeeding pillow. The above picture is the result of such (short) play time - she certainly had a good nap afterwards!
Madeleine had her first doctor's appointment yesterday and is doing great! After losing a bit more than 10% of her birth weight in the hospital, she is back up to a healthy 8.10 pounds and growing well. We also got her length measured and, as we expected, she is longer than Joshua was at this age by 2 inches! Madie is 21 inches long which puts her in the 60-65 percentile for her age, and her weight places her at a perfect 50th percentile. Strangely, although her noggin is the exact same size as Joshua's was as a newborn, she is still only in the 55th percentile for it's size (37 cms) - must be the extra height that makes the difference! ;-)
The Jman continues to love spending his time with Madie. It has become part of our morning ritual to have a family snuggle in bed before starting the day where Joshua gets to snuggle beside his baby sister - I hope to catch that moment on film in the coming days and will make sure to share.

Great photo. Nice big eyes. The amount of hair she has is crazy. Miller still doesn't have enough hair for us to bother washing. Madie will need a cut before long! ;)
