Who is that smashingly handsome young man?

Those of you who have spent recent time with the LBM know exactly what's going on with this one. Joshua's newest and rapidly developing relationship is with...himself. He absolutely *adores* himself in the mirror and can literally spent hours a day just cooing, smiling, squeaking and even pouting at himself. Yes, he'll just pout to see what it looks like and then laugh at himself. We still haven't entirely decided if he just thinks it's another cool kid on the block or if he actually gets how absolutely vain he really is ;)

Our newest adventure came last night when the other little big man, Shadow, decided to poke his head down the hole he had been digging in our yard and apparently discovered that someone had moved in. Skunked...at 10:30pm at night. Not much fun. Almost as though we're following in the footsteps of Derek & Heather who went through Jackson getting skunked a few weeks ago.
Luckily for us Shadow came right back to the door sniffing and rubbing his face and I quickly caught whiff as he rubbed on the carpet and proclaimed "SKUNKED!" and brought him to the tub and hosed him down. That poodle coat can come in handy as I don't think the skunky juice had as much time to absorb in...mainly his head and muzzle (unfortunately for him). He seems to be handling it pretty good and we've got all sorts of homemade remedies to try and mask the odor. Gonna head to the SPCA today to get a trap and apparently once trapped they'll come pick the stinker up and haul him outside the city. We're also gonna need to see what we can do about our carpets too.
Good fun!
Joshua, in the meantime, doesn't seem to care at all. Guess he hasn't had time to figure out what stinks and what just smells interesting. Lucky him!

Everyone take care in this anticipated scorcher!

Mark

Oh my.
Let me know if I can help. There was recently a thread on BARK about skunk 'remedies' and I saved many of the messages.
You will have to let me know what worked for you.
Poor Shadow (and you too).
