With Dad's day fast approaching Josee handed the reigns over to me to blog this weekend.
We've had ourselves an absolutely wonderful week of Joshua-ing and Sisson family-ing (yes, they are now officially verbs)
Seemingly day by day Joshua is getting more and more interactive and fascinated with everything we do and squeals with delight if you give him any sort of wide eyed look..just at the mere cast of your gaze. It's quite a feeling to have someone so excited just to see you. But were not talking once a day...we're talking you get a smile and squeal, you walk away for 3 minutes, you come back and give him another gaze..and it starts all over. Every waking moment he's just ready to soak in any stimulus like a sponge. Amazing!
The real culmination in this was Father's Day at Gavin and Lorinda's Friday night. We arrived with Joshua sounds asleep and there were so many people anxious to interact. Eventually he had his bottle, in the house for a quick change of diaper and I brought him back out as Josee got his dinner...
I literally brought him to each of the dozen or so people there that night and he was smiling and cooing and squealing to each and every person I stood hi in front of. For a few he was in arm flailing, drooling gurgling hysterics he was having so much fun!
We were SO PROUD of our little big man who was able to have some incredibly joyous interactions with people who he'd never met before at the drop of a hat.
I imagine he would have been the topic of conversation for several of them on there way home that night.
On top of that we went out to St.Laurent today to shop a little. He pretty much drifted in an out of sleep over a 5 hour span and quite happily accepted his bottle once we got home. We then later went out on on a beautiful evening weather walk around Aylmer at 8:30pm. He was grins and giggles the whole time just loving the cool breeze.
Proud Dadda, let me tell you!
It's a late posting because I decided to spoil myself with a little late night gaming with Brian (first time since becoming a Dad!) Had a great couple of rounds and good fun with Brillo. However bed is probably a good idea now so I'll throw in one of my favourite sleeping pics of our amazing son as well. This pose he *definitely* gets from his Dad!

See you all tomorrow!
Same place..hopefully earlier time!
