Rainy day fun

Today was a day to be indoors. Joshua and I were planning a quiet morning before his big date with April and Emma but instead received a phone call from Auntie Andrea asking whether we wanted to go over for a visit with her, Jeff and the 4 boys since Vicki was going over with Tiana and Mitch. I had not seen them in quite a while so I packed up Joshua and the folding exersaucer and headed off for a visit in Barrhaven. Well, the visit was great and Joshua had a little time to visit with each and every person who came by. In addition to the people I mentioned above, Penny and Frank (Grandma and Poppa), Irene (Nan) and Auntie Joanne all came by too! In the picture below, you can see how Curtis (in the green) and Zack (in the blue) were enthralled at how small baby Joshua's feet are... From our visit with the family, we headed off to meet April and Emma at the movie theater for the stars and strollers viewing of Ratatouille. Both kids did great with all the stimulation and noisy babies around them (rainy days are DEFINITELY busier than sunny ones in the theater!) and there was more than one time when April and I looked at each other with motherly "aww"s and giggles when the two little ones decided to hold (and then suck on) each other's hands. This picture was taken after the show was done - when both kids were more than ready for a car nap. Sure enough, Joshua was out cold before we even left the parking lot.
Needless to say, we are aiming for a quiet night at home tonight. And hopefully this will give him lots of reasons to sleep well and peacefully tonight as well.

Have a great one!
Josee

It was lovely to see Josee and Joshua both at the Lypchuk-Mays, watch the children interact and to hear Joshua's wonderful, joyful "guffahs" in person!
