This is a pic from a while back when Momma figured that Joshua liked her glasses so much he may as well try them on for himself! A very refined dorky look I must say. I think he can pull it off.
So the latest Joshua moment came as recent as late last night and it was quite a feet (not a spelling error)
At 5am we suddenly heard Joshua's aquarium start up then stop again, then start up, then stop, then start up for about 20 seconds, then stop & start again almost immediately. The only time he previously manipulated the aquarium was at Nationals when it was lying in the crib with him whereas right now it's strapped to the crib bars directly across from his head and level with the top rail. Pretty hard for him to get to that button. Naturally we had to go sneak a peek figuring he was suddenly not only lying on his side but also somehow propping himself up to reach it...
The feet! Yes, somehow he had managed to swivel himself 90 degree to line his feet up directly with the button and the top of his head at the opposite bars. Essentially lying across his crib. The goof was casually starting and stopping it in quiet observation. It's really quite neat as it's more like he's pressing the gas pedal for a car rather than kicking wildly. Must have continued with this for over 10 minutes at least. Suffice as to say..he's digging his crib.
To truly get an appreciation for this here's a quick snap taken seconds ago during his nap
So as you can imagine, that's one heck of a pivot! What made us scratch our heads is how he would have had to shifted himself upwards or else his feet would have been through the rails rather than at the button of the aquarium. He keeps us guessing this little monkey.Kinda cool to know we can get away with a flash while napping though. Expect more to come!
Today we've got a quiet morning followed by some running around and visiting this afternoon including popping in on Nan and Gramps before we head out to use their condo in Daytona at week's end. Joshua's been so interactive and fun lately I'm quite excited to be able to share that with his great grandparents. Maybe we'll even haul along the jolly jumper!
Enjoy the crisper weather everyone!
Mark

Love the shot with the glasses. He looks as intelligent as a 5 month old person could look :)
