"Future's so bright...

... Joshua's gotta wear shades!"While in Florida, we found some great sunglasses that are held on with a Velcro strap instead of the regular glasses rims. We decided this would be perfect for our LBM considering he seems to have his father's sensitivity to any sort of brightness when it come to the outdoors. And as a pleasant surprise to us, he doesn't seem to mind them at all! A great $6 investment if you ask us!

Friday night, Joshua had a really rough night of sleep (or lack there of) with a tough 4 x waking that left me absolutely exhausted by the time Saturday rolled around (this coupled with the fact that he made a habit of getting up before 7am all week!). You see, now that Joshua is a bit more mobile, he seems to have mastered the art of swinging himself around in the crib. Unfortunately, this seems to inevitably result in him kicking his aquarium on in his sleep - which wakes him up, confused and cranky. Mark was nice enough to give me a well-needed night of reprieve in the night waking department last night and I feel much better today. However, I am also presently rallying to move the crib mattress down to a lower level so this can NOT happen any more - and hopefully get rid of the recently increased wakings.

The family (Sisson and Bisson clans alike) went out to Red Dot for brunch today to have a visit with family friend Marian Falconer who was in Ottawa for a visit from Port Perry this weekend. The last time we saw Marian I was still pregnant so it was great to catch up with her and to introduce her to Joshua "in the flesh".

After filling our tummies, Joshua fell asleep in the car so I decided to show Mark around my old stomping grounds in Manotick Station. We even managed to stop by my childhood "second home" and say hello to Kris (Mrs.) Gough who was working outside on her gardens as we slowly drove by! I figured we had to stop in so she didn't think we were staking out the place or anything! ;-) Too bad Joshua was sound asleep in the back seat!

It is getting late and I think it is time for some zzzzs now!
'Night! Josee
