Times flies....

..when you're a fast moving and growing boy anxious for the warm weather to come back so here's a picture snapped back when it was a bit warmer out in hoping we build towards a sunny weekend (and it ties in to the Blog subject which I'm strangely compulsive about when I post). We only managed to get one quick shot of this butterfly before Shadow scrambled for a nearby invading squirrel but it turned out alright. The 12x zoom in the camera comes in handy.

Joshua is thriving and having a wonderful time at daycare with all his new buddies. It's a group of five under the watchful eye of Jenna that have new adventures weekly. My new schedule works out quite well in terms of Josee getting away for work shortly before 7:30am, Joshua and I having breakfast shortly thereafter then Joshua Shadow and I swing through Tim Horton's on the way to Jenna's for a coffee, breakfast sandwich (which Joshua steals some nibbles from) and a plain timbit (which Joshua and Shadow share). It's pretty obvious now that Shadow and Joshua are getting into the routine as they both perk up quite a bit once the tin sounding voice comes over the drive through speaker. Once at daycare we are often greeted by a almost ritualistic/celebratory dance and chorus of "Joshua! Joshua! Joshua!" led usually by James and typically William and Zoe and even sometimes Eve join in. Being that Joshua is usually the last drop off I think he represents the real *start* of the adventure for that day. Lots of fun to see.
Jenna even has her own blog fired up for Blanche Neige which is a real treat for all parents to check out every so often. It's neat to be able to see what makes the LBM so satisfyingly pooped in the evenings and be able to see the other kids interacting with him.
We feel very lucky to have found Blanche Neige Daycare and Jenna as he seems to have mixed in so well with the Blanche Neige gang and Jenna in particular.

Were also on the lookout for a small Joshua sized slide/structure as we've found Joshua has really enjoyed the rush of the whoosh. It's not as reflective in this picture taken a while back but gives me a nice tie in to post a picture I kinda dug.
Obviously something this big would be overkill but if anyone spots or knows of anyone selling the smaller 3 to 4 foot-ish slides for a good price let us know!

Keep those warm weekend weather thoughts a comin'!
Mark
