Sunshiney days lighting up the way to a bright future...

Pretty darn amazing day today at lunchtime. It's not hard to get caught up in all the hype that is happening with our big North American brother. It's like big brother finally dumped that poor excuse for a girlfriend that was constantly taking advantage of him and putting him in the most awkward and embarrassing situations due to her being a total disaster of a girlfriend. And then suddenly he tells you he's dumped that trainwreck for his highschool sweetheart that everyone *knew* was right for him and you think.."You know...I think big brother is gonna be ok now"

To steal from my facebook status: "Our planet needed this change and my son's bright future has been amplified!"

It's been interesting to discuss the change in Washington today with co-workers and my expressing my excitement of how this could really *start something* in doing away with oppression and bigotry based on race. Barack Obama is young, smart, well spoken, passionate and yet humble and apologetic. America is severely screwed up and the man admits it openly. There's been no humility in the oval office for quite sometime and compassion coupled with conviction will go along way to returning to the *real* human race.

How could I not be exciting for my son with a prospect like that? I see a world of opportunity for this young toddler of ours knowing that the world my echo Josee's and my view of seeing the world as one massive family where the color of one's skin, one's choice of lifestyle or one's physical appearance not being media's perception being ideal will never cross Joshua's mind.

This could *really* be the start of something big.
Let's hope that the media got this one right.
Live up to that hype Barack Obama.
Make your race proud. The human race that is.

And we can all say "I was there..."

Mark

You have me a little confused about "girlfriends" and ghschool sweethearts" but we are thrilled with today's new beginning in the U.S.A. and in the world!Even with such an amazing leader (and his family!) at its head,we all are accountable to take this new opportunity to heart, adopt Obama's perspective and, (finally!), Martin Luther King's ideals. We are all responsible for giving our children this chance. No one can do it alone.Very exciting.
Beautiful photo BTW!

Mark..Let me comment that your observations and comments make your family extremely proud of your beliefs and ability to describe it so well with the most powerful weapon of all..WORDS.
I hope you always believe your words and realize that in believing it just might happen.
Thank You
Dad

Mom re: girlfriend stuff
Bush=bad girlfriend to our big brother the USA
USA seemingly has now found a suitable partner to turn their life around a bit and hopefully we ALL benefit from USA's redemption.
